Live video footage (not timelapse) with the spectacular Aurora displays from jan 10th
This is viewed from DK 56 deg north. This is a typical example of what we (most of the time) will see on this mid latitude location. A wide green arc rather low on the horizon indicating a distance to the edge of the Northen LIghts oval of about 800-1000 km. In this case it will assumably be over southern to middle part of Norway. This particular event was visible to the naked eye, not entirely but mainly the “glowy” droplet areas and some pillars perceived as strong white light coming out of the sky.
With the right equipment and stronger Aurora it is possible to film it in real time. It is fascinating to see the movements much slower than people might think (based on the many timlapses made out of still images usually seen).
